Ladies and gentlemen,
The most important thing that we want you to make sure is that in SACCI, we envisage our mission in a very pragmatic way. We therefore concentrate our efforts in organizing direct contacts between Swiss and Azerbaijani companies, and we deliberately position ourselves as a business facilitator between both countries.
We have devoted special attention to Swiss companies that have not yet done business with Azerbaijan.
We also focus on new topics like solar facades, civil explosives for drilling, gas-powered electric vehicles, green buildings, transition energies, hotels and sustainable tourism, innovative technologies, sustainable urban planning, health, data processing, cybersecurity, and so on and so forth… This is just a few examples.
Having said so, we would like to insist on good collaboration and excellent partnerships we have both in Switzerland and in Azerbaijan. In Switzerland, with the Joint Chamber of Commerce, located in Zurich, the economic pole of the country, while its international pole is Geneva, where our Chamber is located. In Azerbaijan, with KOBIA, represented in this bilateral meeting by its President Orkhan Mammadov, and with AZPROMO; represented here by its acting executive Director Yusif Abdullayev. We all co-organize tomorrow 14 December afternoon, a Swiss-Azerbaijani Business Forum which will take place in the Baku Business Centre.
One last word to stress the crucial relation we have developed with the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Switzerland and with H.E. the Ambassador Fuad Isgandarov. Without their efforts, our Chamber would not have revived so easily.
